As the Lead Authority for National Resilience (NR), Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are seeking applications from existing FRS specialists who wish to undertake a secondment to the Enhanced Logistics Support (ELS) Capability as National Resilience Command & Control Capability Advisor.
In accordance with the agreement between the NR Lead Authority and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) the post holder will support the delivery, assurance, maintenance of competence, capability development and co-ordination of the ELS capability.
The NR Command & Control Capability Advisor will also be responsible for the ongoing assurance of the National Resilience Fire Control (NRFC), ensuring that national assets, systems and processes remain effective, resilient and fit for purpose.
The role will be required to provide operational cover as a member of the NRAT Duty Officer team and provide operational cover for NR as directed by the NR Lead Officer and in accordance with the Lead Authority rota duty system.
This position requires strong awareness and understanding of the National Coordination and Advisory Framework (NCAF), ELS capability and NRFC. In addition to having the ability to effectively work with arrange of key stakeholders.
You must seek prior approval from your Chief Fire Officer / Employer to be released on secondment.
