  • Hours of work: 35 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8.00 – 16.15 hours and Friday 8.00 – 13.00 hours.

    Salary: Craft 2 £32,574
     

    We are recruiting for a HGV body repairer / coachbuilder to join our team and work at our modern and state of art vehicle workshops at Vesty Road, Bootle, Merseyside.

    The Workshop department provides a high-quality fleet, comprising of fire appliances, ancillary vehicles, special vehicles and other specialist plant/equipment, maintained to a high standard and degree of reliability and provide the means whereby all members of the fire service can carry out their duties safely and efficiently.

    Our HGV Vehicle repairer / coach builders are responsible for maintaining and promoting our public image carrying out vehicle body repairs, inspections, servicing and modification tasks to our fleet of Scania Fire Appliances, ancillary fleet and equipment.

    You must be a fully qualified vehicle body repairer coachbuilder with at least 5 years experience, with City and Guilds, NVQ level 3 or equivalent. 

    Have experience of working in a vehicle bodyshop / transport workshop and be able to complete vehicle body inspections to DVSA standard.
