This is a fixed-term appointment until December 2025.
The role will predominately be focused on activities across the Wirral.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support young people’s learning needs and developing personal skills to Youth Engagement Programmes, delivered by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
Other responsibilities include:
Support in developing the personal skills of the young people and improve their personal development.
Carry out literacy and numeracy diagnostic assessments and record distance travelled.
Complete Individual Learning Plans and liaise with Team Leaders on learner needs.
Support students with basic skills when required by learners.
Applicants must have experience of working with young people/young adults in various settings and the ability to relate and empathise with their needs. In addition, the ability to liaise and coordinate with partnerships in the community, is essential, together with a proficiently in the use of Microsoft packages and the ability to plan and priorities workloads, meet deadlines and work in a collaborative way with colleagues and other organisations.
